Our amazing team of professionals and part-time volunteers are committed to helping others. We take our convictions and turn them into action. We believe that when we invest in mankind we save a community, the future leaders of the free world.
Our History
As city dwellers, we saw the need for energetic, nonprofit work in the North City St Louis Area. We formed our organization to provide community-based solutions that will effect change on the micro and mezzo levels, and policies that will shape life experiences.
We have decided that we will be the change we desire to see. Those are big words, that require an epic vision and a trailblazing attitude. We are prepared to deliver. There is a " New Momentum" in the Community that is full of life, and a spirit with the heart of a servant. Habakkuk's Journey is a 501C-3 non-profit organization that was formed for such a time as this.
Our Mission is to extend a hand-up so profound, the impact reaches across boundaries, changing the course of this present and future generation.
Who? Young men that are high school dropouts. Those recovering from substance abuse. Survivors of historical and generational trauma. Reaching out to deviant males in society before they reach the Criminal Justice System. Young males transitioning out of the Foster Care without a full support system.
How? By strategically leveling the playing field economically. By partnering with other agencies, systematically positioning the participant through education, job training. We provide a structured, stable, and nurturing environment. Our clinitians deliver culturally relevant and therapeutic counseling with transportation and a full support system.
Why? To improve the lives of humanity. It is our desire that all men would have a clear path of true freedom to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that they may dream again and explore the possibilities of an accomplished mind.
