Antionette Travis founded Habakkuk's Journey, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Mrs. Travis is the wife of Norman William Travis Sr. and a mother of 4. She is also a leader in Ministry at Believers Temple Word Fellowship, St Louis MO 63138. She serves as a leader of men and women in the Intercessory Ministry. She is a licensed and ordained minister and has been a member of this organization for over 18 years. Mrs. Travis has been a business owner and entrepreneur in the City of Saint Louis since 2001. After many years of practicing Cosmetology, she returned to school to pursue her passion for serving. She is currently a student at the University of Missouri in the MSW School of Social Work Program, class of 2026. She has a minor in Psychology. Her concentration is in Behavioral Health. Mrs. Travis is an Advocate for community and policy development. She has a special interest in the North City of St. Louis where her children were raised. She is a North City native and understands the needs of the underserved "adolescent men," and the family concerns of the community. Out of her lived experiences within St. Louis City communities, she has written the program dynamics that will be used in conjunction with evidence based practices such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This and other theraputic strategies will be implemented through a professional and licensed multidisciplinary team within "The Journey."
It is her desire and mission to be the change she desires to see in the lives of the underserved; therefore, she has self-funded the preliminary plans for the soon coming community development project in North City of St. Louis Mo.
