Marcia is a life-long Missouri Resident and has lived in the City of St. Louis for more than 20 years. She graduated from UM-St.Louis with a BSBA with an emphasis in Management Science and Information Systems. She has overseen the accounting department of Gerstner Electric for over 25 years, 15 years as a corporate officer. As a parent, she achieved her goal which was that her children would willingly enjoy speaking to her after they were self-supporting. She now has grandchildren who call her Downtown Grandma, a moniker that she treasures. To give back to the community that has nurtured her growth, she has volunteered her time for groups that help people in need, including Lutheran Children and Family Services of Illinois, Our Little Haven, NAMI, the Veteran's Administration, and the Downtown St. Louis Residents Association. She embraces urban living and its advantages for proximity to cultural and entertainment venues and the diverse people she meets. She believes all people deserve respect and support as they navigate the changes in their lives and the changes in society.
